About Me

"I am an easy going guy...who likes to enjoy life... and relax... but hey dun think I dun like to work...I do..just that I am trying to find somthing that livens me up..."

Does evrything has an opposite....??? Thursday, June 30, 2005 |

Well evrything that we see around oursleves has an opposite....like GOOD vs BAD,Heaven vs Hell,Positive vs Negative and much much more.....(like me and my brother :))

Well there is one more thing ,i.e., MATTER .... now what is matter ...according to our science theory books Evrything is matter ....
Now a Question Arises...if everything is Matter then Wht is the opposite of Matter and is there is one then where is it....???
Currently while reading the book Angels & Demons (by Dan Brown) , i came across the concept of Anti-Matter which is deemed to be the opposite of Matter...
After searching on the Internet i got lots of info on Anti-Matter .. like "Antimatter is around us each day, although there isn't very much of it," says Gerald Share of the Naval Research Laboratory. "It is not something that can be found by itself in a jar on a table."

Antimatter is a fundamental particle of regular matter with its electrical charge reversed. The common proton has an antimatter counterpart called the antiproton. It has the same mass but an opposite charge. The electron's counterpart is called a positron.

To better understand the elusive nature of antimatter, we must back up to the beginning of time.
In the first seconds after the Big Bang, there was no matter, scientists suspect. Just energy. As the universe expanded and cooled, particles of regular matter and antimatter were formed in almost equal amounts.
But, theory holds, a slightly higher percentage of regular matter developed -- perhaps just one part in a million -- for unknown reasons. That was all the edge needed for regular matter to win the longest running war in the cosmos.
"When the matter and antimatter came into contact they annihilated, and only the residual amount of matter was left to form our current universe," Share says.

I guess anti-matter holds the key to our future hunger for power resources ..but i hope it doesn't follow the way followed by Nuclear Energy...

July 4....Deep Impact..... Tuesday, June 28, 2005 |

REEL life becomes real life......
We have been watching uncountable number of Hollywood Movies realting to the Collision of Earth with an interplanetary object coming from somewhere in the Universe....
I remember watching a Hindi Children movie named "Dhoomketu (meaning Comet)" around 9-10 years back regarding the same...and also vividly remember a story in our English textbook about the same theory....
Well i guess now it is time to see this before our eyes....and in real time also....
On July 4 ,2005.... When Uncle SAM celebrates its Independence Day....NASA's DEEP IMPACT mission will reach its most important phase of colliding with the Comet Tempel 1 to study the pristine interior of the comet by excavating a crater more than 25 m deep and 100 m in diameter....
I wish them BEST of Luck in this endeavour of theirs....
I wonder when can we see our lives on the tracks of that shown in the Cartoon Show named "Jetsons"..NASA's ultimate dream would be that only.... i know...
Returning back to the mission....the collision of the rocket with the comet would be shown live on TV in the US....and I guess some pictures might also be beamed to INDIA via the plethora of NEWS channels......
For more info about the mission visit....http://deepimpact.jpl.nasa.gov/index.html

East Delhi's PSK.....amazing.... |

hey ppl...
I recently visited a new centre named PSK built on the lines of India Habitat Centre...and I was really amazed at the kind of facilities it offered....(i still can't imagine it was developed by Delhi Govt.)

Aimed as a socio-cultural hub for residents of the trans-Yamuna area, PSK has a 320-seat auditorium, art gallery, conference room, banquet hall and e-café, besides food court serving South Indian, Mughlai, Italian and Chinese cuisines ...and much much more....

It also boasts of a modern health club and a library stocked with 3, 000 books by leading authors. There are also facilities for playing billiards and practising yoga

it has a Dj every sunday and anyone can come over and have a blast....really rocking place...

i am planning to take a life membership for this club which is only 25,000/- ...really amazing...

I recommend this centre for all Delhities as a must see once ...and then u will fall in love with it..i am sure of tht....

well b4 i end...... Let me give u the meaning of PSK : Poorvi Sanskritik Kendra.....now now all u ppl dun think tht this third grade name will have any effect on the kind of services this centre boasts of ....

regarding its location... it is in Laxmi Nagar in East delhi next to Coffee Home.....and also besides the new V3S mall coming up in a few months....

Well east delhi is sure getting a much deserved facelift.....with Metro,Malls,Games village..hopefully some more things r in the pipeline...

Do leave comments ....after a visit to the place....i have been to the place 3 times in the last 20 days....

Microsoft goes head-on with ADOBE Monday, June 27, 2005 |

Microsoft has launched its first professional graphics tool. Its code name is Acrylic and the beta version, which is free until October 1, is already available for download , here.
The software is based on Expression, a graphics application acquired from Creature House in 2003.
According to the program’s description from Microsoft’s site this is an innovative illustration, painting and graphics tool that provides exciting creative capabilities for designers working in print, web, video, and interactive media.
In addition to the Metro proprietary format, Microsoft is releasing another product aimed at competing with Adobe.
It remains to be seen if the giant from Redmond succeeds to outperform Adobe’s Photoshop and Illustrator. Microsoft has to provide innovative tools and advanced algorithms to convince professionals to switch from their current solutions (Photoshop and Illustrator) to Acrylic.
The application has already started on the wrong foot, the developers recommending users to have a Pentium 4 machine, with Windows XP Service Pack 2, 512MB of memory which makes us wonder if this product won’t be another program that requires a lot and does little.
